Everest Effect

“Real Life. Real Needs. Real Recovery.”

Naysa Mishler, Jersey City local Mom and Finally Home Member, is driving the mission of Everest Effect, a modern approach to global disaster relief, putting critical resources directly into the hands of individuals affected by natural disasters. She is proving with her impact that altruism and capitalism truly can coexist. That pPassion and conviction create change.”

“The nature of a society’s ability to recover from crisis depends on the strength of its systems. Unfortunately, the crises of the past six months have revealed fundamental flaws in our nation’s system. In order to change a system, we must first attempt to understand the historical legacies of the system we are attempting to change.”

The Everest Approach

Everest Effect is a modern, simple approach to the complex world of disaster relief. An online marketplace puts critical resources directly into the hands of impacted individuals to accelerate their recovery. Goods listed on the platform range from food and clothing to shelter and supplies. The system generates waves of change (the Effect) in a way that evades bureaucratic waste and lengthy processes. With an approach that is direct and transparent, people who need help can be reached as quickly and efficiently as possible

The Everest Mission

Everest’s mission is aimed at revolutionizing relief aid to better help individuals and communities recovering and rebuilding after a disaster. Operating at the intersection of innovation and human kindness, relief is made not only efficient, but also data-driven and attainable

“Through technology and collaboration, we achieve our mission by giving people access to basic items that can increase when and how they return to normalcy.”

Support the Everest Effect

Everest Effect’s partnership with Walmart to create the #Fightcovidwithkindness campaign is aimed to help people who are unable to shop for themselves. With most requests coming from mothers of small children in need of diapers, wipes and formula.  Visit here to support.

Everest Effect Supporting Covid-19 & Distance Learning

Access to technology is one of the biggest hurdles facing distance learning. Students deserve an education without disruption. Everest Effect wants to help them stay connected during COVID-19:

Are you a member of a school or edtech organization? Does your organization have students in need or funds that need to be used to support students K-12 in the United States? Everest Effect is looking to partner with local schools and organizations to assist in providing students with access to technology, essential school supplies, and mental healthcare packages to support learning-from-home.

What they do:

  • Distribution: Items can be delivered directly to each student or a designated school pick up area.

  • Automation: Leverage Everest Effect technology + Walmart’s supply chain.

  • Consolidation: Provide a single view for expense management.

  • Transparency: Remove fulfillment, shipping, tracking barriers.

  • Most requests to the campaign come from mothers of small children in need of diapers, wipes, and formula
