We Honor

• The businesses who engage with their community and enrich us through the services that they provide, the people who they employ, and the creativity that they bring to their endeavors. 

• The makers and doers who value integrity above all and strive to bring their unique voice to their community.

• The members that open their doors to neighbors and friends alike and are actively interwoven with their community.

• The local heroes who embody the character of this city. They’re the entrepreneurs, artists and catalysts of our community.

• We live in a world in which it is easy to say - It’s not my child, not my community, not in my world, not my problem. Then there are those who see the need and respond, We consider those our people.

We Believe

• Our voices, our questions, our choices. Collectively we are setting the course for the world in which we live and love.

• Empathy is the starting point for creating community and taking action. It’s the impetus for creating change. 

• The way to change the world is through individual responsibility and taking local action in your community. It’s our obligation as individuals to leave your community and your world a little bit better than how you found it. Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.  

• Perhaps the most significant benefit of a community is the opportunity to learn from others; others that have different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives than ours. Sharing those personal stories bring us together in unexpected ways. By unearthing our lived experiences, we discover the unique gifts we hold, common challenges we share, and new insights that help us see things in new ways.

•  A strong, engaged community gives us more reason to celebrate our differences while coming together as a whole.
